Types of Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is a complex crime that exploits individuals through various forms of coercion and violence. In Zambia, extreme poverty, lack of resources, and systemic issues increase the vulnerability of individuals—especially women and children—to multiple types of trafficking. Archangel Group International (AGI) is dedicated to identifying, combating, and educating communities about the different types of human trafficking to protect those at risk.

Exploitation in Industries

Labor trafficking in Zambia often involves forced labor in industries such as agriculture, mining, construction, and textile production. Victims are coerced or deceived into exploitative working conditions and are often deprived of freedom and fair wages. AGI works to raise awareness and support law enforcement efforts to identify and protect labor trafficking victims.

Forced Labor & Exploitation

Due to widespread poverty, children are highly vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation. Many are forced into labor, street begging, or domestic servitude. AGI’s initiatives aim to educate communities about the risks, support vulnerable families, and work with local authorities to protect children from these threats.

Domestic Servitude in Zambia

Many Zambian women and children are trafficked into domestic servitude, often by trusted family members or acquaintances. AGI works with local organizations to address these cases, providing victims with support and helping prevent further exploitation through community education.

AGI’s Survivor Support

Sex trafficking is a serious issue that involves the forced recruitment, transportation, and exploitation of individuals for commercial sex acts. Vulnerable women and children are often targeted. AGI provides education and collaborates with local NGOs to identify, prevent, and offer support to survivors of sex trafficking.

Organ Trafficking Crisis

Organ trafficking is an alarming form of exploitation in which victims are murdered for their organs, often for illegal profit. AGI collaborates with law enforcement and community leaders to raise awareness of this heinous crime and support efforts to bring perpetrators to justice.

Archangel Group International (AGI) collaborates with the Zambia Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security to combat human trafficking and enhance community safety. This partnership leverages AGI's expertise in anti-trafficking initiatives and the Ministry's authority in maintaining internal security, aiming to protect vulnerable populations and promote sustainable development in Zambia.
