Providing Access to Clean Water

Clean Water Borewell Project

Archangel Group International (AGI) | Zambia

Verified Project Cost

Approximately $2,900 USD per borewell.

Project Deliverables

Your donation helps fund a community borewell drilled to a depth of up to 100 meters, including 4-inch PVC casing, a Mark II hand pump, and a concrete apron. Drilling to this depth helps us access groundwater sources that can provide safe drinking water, subject to appropriate water-quality testing.

Site Selection and Groundwater Assessment

Every borewell location is carefully evaluated before drilling begins. AGI works with licensed site readers who conduct professional site assessments to identify promising groundwater locations. Once potential sites have been identified, our team surveys the surrounding area to determine whether additional borewells may be needed and to assess the broader community's access to groundwater.

This process helps us select locations with the potential to serve as many families as possible while considering the sustainability of the water source. Although no assessment can guarantee that a borewell will never run dry, careful site selection and groundwater evaluation help reduce risks and support the long-term success of each project.

Remaining Project Need

Every donation brings AGI closer to installing additional borewells in underserved Zambian communities where families lack reliable access to clean drinking water. Your generosity helps turn a basic human need into a lasting resource for an entire community. Whether you fund an entire borewell or contribute toward the cost, your gift helps bring clean water within reach of families who need it most.

Maintenance and Sustainability Plan

A borewell is only the beginning of our commitment. After installation, AGI and our drilling partners train community members in proper pump operation, routine maintenance, and responsible water-source management. This training helps local communities care for their borewells, identify maintenance needs early, and protect their investment for years to come.

Our goal is not simply to install a pump and leave. We want communities to have the knowledge and support needed to maintain access to clean water long after the drilling team has departed.

Reporting and Donor Accountability

At Archangel Group International, we believe every donation represents a responsibility to our donors, our communities, and God. We are committed to responsible stewardship and strive to provide project-specific updates documenting funds received, work completed, deliverables achieved, and remaining needs.

Donors can see how their generosity contributes to our mission through project updates, photographs when available, and reports on completed work. We want you to have confidence that your support is making a meaningful difference on the ground in Zambia.

Your Impact: More Than Water

Imagine a child no longer having to walk miles to collect water. Imagine a mother having reliable access to water for her family, or a church becoming a source of hope for an entire village.

Your donation helps make that difference possible. Access to clean water can improve daily living conditions, reduce the burden of collecting water, support community health, and help strengthen resilience against exploitation. It also creates opportunities for AGI to build meaningful relationships with families and communities, serve their physical needs, and share the hope and love of Jesus Christ.

We believe meeting physical needs can open doors to lasting relationships and Gospel ministry. Every borewell is an opportunity to demonstrate Christ's love in a practical, life-changing way.
